History of the Mill

Only known history: “Hezekiah Phillippe had a two-story log home on the northwest corner of 2400N and 675E. Also at this location was a three story high wind operated grist mill and elevator for storing of grain. This is where all the local people brought their grain for grinding. Hezekiah was a son of John Phillippe Sr. and helped start the Mahomet Methodist Church.”
